Actually, that’s not their argument. Their argument is that pit bulls were bred for blood sports
such as bull-baiting and bear-baiting. They are good at it.They have musculature and mind-set to attack without warning and ignore all efforts to halt their attack. These blood sports continue in the US, in secret enclaves where monstrous people love to watch them fight to the death, and in streets, homes, schools etc. where yet another “pittie” “got out” of his yard, home, car etc.

No, it's not. Reputable breeders breed for health, conformity AND temperament. But to ignorant pit bull haters, there is no such thing as breeding for temperament; all pit bulls are the same: Dangerous. Period. You can't breed it out of them.

Rather than banning the breed, how about we crack down on unscrupulous breeders, their dog fighting customers and others who abuse these animals?
