Last week Trump supporters and leftist social justice warriors met on the political field of battle in Berkeley, California. Words were exchanged, as were punches. And while an alt-right leader was punched in the face, by all accounts even the social justice warriors admit that they got a major beat-down.
This prompted a reddit discussion among the left’s tolerant resistance movement, with many asking how they can more effectively go to war against anyone who disagrees with their social, political, and economic views.
The anti-Trump protesters at the rally were ill-prepared for what they came to Berkeley to confront and now they are trying to figure out ways to ensure it doesn’t happen again.
In short, as predicted, they are turning to militancy and mob action by mobilizing individuals and groups to attend combat training seminars, acquiring better equipment like baseball bats and helmets, and of course, if things really go bad… guns.

I thought conservatives did well not to be provoked by the leftist violence during the election campaign - so their violence almost certainly worked against them in the polls.
Having lost the democratic mandate, the left now wants more than ever to provoke disorder. So it’s even more important not to take the bait.
But unless the new POTUS realises what the left is doing - and gets a handle on the situation by firing up the LE organisations to respond, things will only get worse.

When the Berkeley MAYOR is an active member of BAMN (By Any Means Necessary), it’s a pretty good bet things will go south even worse than last time.

Unopposed in the streets, the optics are embarrassing for them...as they spin-out, go “blurp blurp” into the sky, (water-flogging), realize their rants are nothingburgers, and that they are ineffective. The ‘March for Science’ on Boston Common...a good exemplar... was hardly covered in local news; and the 15-second video really killed ‘em.

What they do not grasp is that they have now chosen to fight guys who have been to the seminars at Parris Island and Coronado, and that those guys are not the kindly, tolerant but elderly Republicans they are used to frightening or beating up.
In choosing to take it to the streets they have made a very poor choice.

You got it backwards. This situation is best handled at the grassroots level by volunteers with no government affiliation.
What you are suggesting is the worst possible solution. If Trump unleashes LE on these people and a protester gets killed then all hell will break loose.
