I went to Spain in 2002, and for some reason I was expecting everything Mexican like tacos and enchiladas. But it was different from everything I thought it would be. So much so, that I would like to go back.

While in Barcelona, I found out that Spaniards are very proud of their involvement in the discovery of America. And they really like Americans.

When I was a kid, we lived in Spain. I loved Mexican food and was expecting something similar there.

We stayed in a hotel for a few weeks when we first moved there before finding a place to live. The hotel dining room served "tortillas" it said on the menu.

What I got was an egg omelet. I learned that Mexican food is Mexican, not Spanish.

But the food in Spain is great. I love the country.
