Hmmm....I think I recall you being from Massachusetts and also being a lawyer.Of course neither of those things (if true) are particularly relevant but...

I get the sense that you have something against Boston,Boston hospitals and/or Harvard Medical School. If my sense is correct all I can say is that even in Boston errors are made and shady and/or unqualified players appear.

But to return to *this* case it appears as if this doctor has a very shady past...medically and otherwise.

Just sayin'...

Hi GSC -

Yes, I love Boston. I lived there for a while and it’s a wonderful city. (not January and February though!) While there I got to know a lot of people and sometimes got the real story - not the story people were reading in the local newspaper.

Yes, the medical care is very good, although some feel it is not as up-to-date and cutting edge as claimed. But the home of *The* Medical School and *The* Journal does provide good quality care. They have their problems and their bad actors - but no more than other centers,

Re what you call the physician’s shady past - It’s not clear he has a shady past. This man’s name differs from the one on the court records. The last name is the same though. Anyone who feels United is in the right will feel better if they think the physician is a bad guy and deserved what he got. The “Just World Fallacy” plays out once again.

United Airlines most likely got private investigators working to dig up dirt as soon as they saw the situation spiraling out of control. United Airlines is going to pay through the nose as it is. If it is determined that they provided negative information to the media they’ll pay even more.

Whether the physician was right or wrong is irrelevant at this point. There are tens of thousands of passengers who have had very negative experiences on United. They’re loving all the bad press United is getting.

p.s. How does a woman who falsely claims to have a graduate degree in chemistry get named to head the Massachusetts drug laboratory? How does someone falsify thousands of drug tests without detection? Was she an affirmative action employee or a political appointee?
