Isn't this going to interfere with global warming? Or is the ocean level going to drop by twenty feet, rather than rise by 3 inches?

I'm confused...

I read an article that said that ocean levels have risen “significantly” but we cannot perceive it because those pesky continents keep absorbing the excess water.

Yes they actually printed that in a serious “science” article. I am not making this up

Yes this will greatly interfere with global warming. The ocean levels will fall some 400 feet on average with drops of 700 feet not unexpected depending on seabed slopes, while the northern and southern continents take up the water in the form of ice which is expected to reach depths exceeding 3 kilometers on average.

There are two outcomes of this newly discovered climate alteration, or rather cycle: one is that in several thousand years the ice will melt, or that the ice will continue to grow covering the entire planet (Snowball Earth). Both of these outcomes have been repeated throughout geologic time.

Pick one ...

The struggle between man-made CO2 and the sun will cause sea levels to whiplash violently back and forth eroding hundreds of miles inland killing billions species of precious biting, disease carrying insects and some small fish that can never be replaced!

Oh, the huge manatee! It will kill that too.
