The market will take care of this. Restaurants will have to pay their workers enough to compete with the pot growers. Then they will have to raise their prices or go out of business. If the people of Denver don't wish to pay fair market prices for restaurant fare, then they will not have as many restaurants as they used to.

I see great sales ahead for microwave meals.

$22 per hour is more than double what restaurants pay in this CO town. One must wonder if restaurants can take that hit.

In Boulder 40 years ago I made enough cooking in upscale restaurants to live pretty well as a single guy. That means I had purchasing power equal to more than $22 per hour.

Perhaps inflation drove up costs to the point that restaurants can no longer pay that much.
