Dating is done using a rather large number of isotopes. 200?

Dating is usually performed using more than one isotope to compare estimated ages
Carbon 14 is much more accurate than it used to be due to our ability to measure billionths of something.

Back when I was studying this in school, Strontium/Rubidium was used for the “old” measurements. Much has probably changed in the last 30+ years though.
