The case was reopened a few years ago.
Four years ago in January 2013 the Los Angeles County Office of Medical Examiner (Coroner) released the official updated autopsy report on Natalie Wood’s death. “Accident” was removed from the equation. I talked with the lead detective when this happened. He had no doubt that the original investigation into Natalie’s death had been botched. The new official cause of death became “drowning and other undetermined causes.” It was then up to the detectives to figure out the other causes. Medically proven was that Natalie was never conscious in the water. Robert Wagner’s cooperation with them could answer many of the questions still open. He refuses to do that. The case remains open, and I know for a fact is still being worked.

Still, no witnesses, no evidence, no case, but going through the motions of imagining there is one.
