I was a jet mechanic in Nam but no service connection
for my hearing,I also worked in industry for many years.
I take 5000 mcg once a day, sometimes more.
Seems to help but even then it flares up from time
to time.

My tinnitus started two years ago and it was only after some hearing tests that I discovered I also had hearing loss in the upper frequencies. I really had no trouble hearing.
I only went to the VA because the hearing aids offered by the local hearing companies cost a small fortune - some as high as $5K. Eff that.
The VA gave me hearing aids (free) that normally cost $2K ... and a side effect ... because my hearing loss (and T) was attributable to military service, I got a 10% disability - $135 a month.
Given your MOS, I suggest you try the VA. The paperwork was a pain-in-the-@ss, but otherwise, they treated me like a long lost friend. Semper Fi ...
