Thanks for trying that. I did another comparison, now that I’m in a quieter place, and I think mine is at about 9000, somewhat similar to what you’re hearing. I’ve often wondered what frequency other people hear. Thanks again!
After live music, power tools and firearms I have a cluster of tones, right ear worse than the left. Drummers were usually on my right, as were the guns and power tools! 8K is pronounced, but it has friends.
I’ve had the “echoes of the amplifiers ringing in my head” for so long I am pretty used to it.
