blocking Windows 7... on Intel's seventh generation Core i3 ...
Interesting. I'm running Win7 Pro on an Intel Core i3-2130 CPU and did an update yesterday.
If MS does eventually block me, I think I'll consider going to Apple, despite decades as a Windows user. Screw MS.

FWIW:

I now set up my well heeled clients on a Mac and install Parallels (12 is the latest version) and either Windows 7 or 8.1.

I, of course, turn off updates after I bring IE up to version 11.

Windows is only open when you want it open and I/We never have had any issues with MS screwing up the Windows partition.

If you are interested you need at least 8GB RAM.

PS - look at the Mac Mini - it’s a powerhouse and very reasonably priced for a Mac.

They are referring to brand new chips. It may even require a new motherboard.

AMD makes a Bristol Ridge processor (?)
