There are any number of theories as to where they came from (a fire in a pet store, escaped pets, smuggled in illegally and then escaped, released when Budweiser Gardens closed).
They're beautiful but loud - and, don't park your car under a tree where they swarm:

A nest of baby parrots fell out of the huge palm tree in my from yard. Maybe they are native.
Florida is being invaded also. I saw four fly over a few days ago. Reported them to the Wildlife Department, for what it’s worth. Invasive species can create a mess with indigenous creatures.
Looks like a cherry headed conure.
If you haven’t seen it, I recommend the 2003 documentary “The Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill.” Set in San Francisco.
