Years ago the principal at the high school was crossing a rural double track crossing with no lights after a train passed. A train coming the other way on the second track nailed his car and killed him and his wife.

Back in the late 70's there was a weird engineer who worked for my company. When I say weird, he was one of those people who would patrol neighborhoods on garbage collection days and fill his station wagon with junk on his way into work.

Anyway, his wife committed suicide by laying down on a railroad track. Then several years later, his son committed suicide the very same way.............I thought that was very strange.
