I’m surprised there hasn’t been ‘round the clock maintenance. To see the peeling paint and rust is troubling.. I’m sure there has been plenty of money for maintaining it and yet just as sure it was spent elsewhere.. They can get the “ resident ghosts” to work a little harder, I guess.

A Soviet submarine, the Scorpion, is moored next to Queen Mary Three weeks ago, I noticed that Scorpion was closed, as was the souvenir shop next to it where one could purchase ushanka hats, red star pins worn by Young Pioneers, the Soviet equivalent of the Boy Scouts, etc.

The boat showed signs of neglect with rust spots on the hull. I read that it is in need of major restoration. I'm glad I was able to visit it a few years ago when it was open.
