John F. Kennedy. These major Democrat party leaders were fierce opponents of mass immigration because they recognized the negative impact it had on wages.

An Irishman opposing immigration because it lowers wages? There's irony for you. The Kennedys and Buchanans didn't seem to mind immigration one little bit in 1850!

You mean the legal immigration in 1850.

Those immigrants didn’t want handouts and they weren’t gang bangers. Myths from Hollywood are irrelevant.
