A night search was considered too dangerous?Good grief snowflakes, get out there and get it done.
Bring the old man up on charges!
“He stayed with her the whole time. She had him on the leash.”
She suffers from early-onset dementia and her husband let her go out by herself on a hike???
What a weird story.
For those who don’t know - Skyline Boulevard runs along the spine of the low mountain range just west of Palo Alto, Mountain View, etc. We’re not talking mountain peaks here - more like 2000+ feet of elevation.
So it’s not exactly some sort of crazy challenging environment . . . BUT who on EARTH would let a 56 year old woman with early onset dementia and Type 2 diabetes set off alone on a hike at 1:30 pm!!! So much fail. It’s great she had the dog with her, but good grief!!
This has to be an episode of LAW AND ORDER.
A week earlier there were two women named Bethnee Haury who were treated at the same hospital. The husband asked how his wife was doing and the nurse reported that files were mixed up. She either had Alzheimers or AIDS. The husband figured he would take her out, lose her, and if she found her way back home, he’d shoot her.
“Bethnee Haury suffers from early onset dementia and has Type-2 diabetes and requires insulin injections.”
Does this mean letting her go for hikes by herself shows that someone was really thinking here?
Women aren’t as spacial aware as men then to top that off she has early onset dementia AND the ability to go easily into ketoacidosis and then a coma.
When some one said its okay to go get lost and die they weren’t joking.
So the husband lets her go hiking in a strange area alone. Maybe he was hoping for the worst and preparing for the worser
“Bethnee Haury suffers from early onset dementia and has Type-2 diabetes and requires insulin injections.”
What’s wrong with the husband that he lets this woman go off on her own with these conditions? Seems like you turn a corner in Cali and you’re in the wilderness. Not for me, but I’m very glad she and the puppy are OK.
