My dad was stationed at the Navy Yard back in the early sixties...we used to go into the grass around the Washington Monument every 4th of July, picnic basket, blankets...wonderful memories.

When we first came in 1964, my mom and I used to picnic on the Monument grounds every day.

I worked at the Pentagon,that is historical,Also Union station. We used to go on dates to Jefferson memorial,and believe it Arlington cemetery. I loved blackies house of beef,Cahills pub,Georgetown house. I believe they are gone now.
