“They hate him because he was right. I will not use his name as a pejorative term.”
I’m with you! McCarthy was a good guy. He tried to save this country from what Trump is trying to fix now.
Agreed. Go with “Russophobe”

The real problem is that Democrats are dictating the course of the battle. The strategy of attacking Trump through attacks on his underlings has been effective, forcing Trump & Co. on the defensive. This has to stop. Trump must take the initiative & take the battle to the Rats.
The very best way to do this is to go after Hillary & Obama, legally.
A grand jury should be formed to look at Hillary & the Clinton Foundation. An honest jury would vote to indict on multiple counts. That in & of itself will send the Left into fits of uncontrollable rage. It will focus all their efforts to defend her - a losing cause. They will be so blinded by their efforts to rescue Hillary that all their other efforts will fall to the wayside.
At the same time, but quietly, the Justice Dept. should be looking at Obama corruption, likely a wellspring of crime. Once Hillary is found guilty, she then “sings like a bird” about Obama & Co. to try to stay out of jail. If anyone knows where Obama buried the bodies, Hillary surely does. At the very least he was complicit in her use of an illegal email server. Obama will then be put on the defensive, severely curtailing his ability to attack Trump.
If things continue the way they are, Trump & Co. will spend way too much time defending themselves from the “accusation of the week” by the MSM & the Left. Time spent defending Trump & his cabinet is time not spent Making America Great Again. It is better to force them to focus on an attack on their 2 gods, a battle they cannot resist, yet they could easily lose.
I agree. When you play defense, you make no headway.
Trump needs to attack.

I want to add that I don't believe the Putin-directed information campaign caused Hillary to lose. I believe she did that. And, in addition, there is a whole other set of problems with Putin's foreign policy that lies outside of what the Russians did or did not do to affect the election. One doesn't have to think that opposition to the restoration of the Russian empire is the same as being against Trump. Far from it, and the President seems to be very much moving in the direction of realism and containment due to recent Russian activities since his election. Those would be the nuclear arms violations, the spying on the USA, the continued dangerously close buzzing of our ships and aircraft, the continued undeclared war on Ukraine, and the threats Putin is making against other peaceful nations in Europe. The Putin apologists seem to believe that a bully like Putin deserves their loyalty over the US government and our constitution. So a good name for them is traitors.
If your candidate has a light schedule and is having coughing fits and almost collapses on the street and you don't have an adequate explanation for that people will speculate that she's seriously ill.
If there are emails about pizza-related handkerchiefs and pictures of strange underground rooms, theories will develop and if you just dismiss the whole thing as "fake news" without explaining away the details those theories will grow.
If the president's father was a mysterious foreigner with no record of actually living with his mother and the president won't release his birth certificate people are going to come up with theories.
It doesn't matter how kooky the theories are, if you don't have an alternative theory to explain what's going on, the theories will gain headway.
