Meh. It’s easier to just do that from earth. Hence the existence of the big guns on battleships.

And even if you could fire a rock with enough force to escape the moon’s gravity, the precision needed to hit the Earth would be, well, astronomical.

Any rock that did manage to hit the Earth would burn up in the atmosphere unless it the size of a house. Then gravity really becomes a problem as well as what size would the gun have to be to launch such a massive object into space.

And why would anyone want to hit the Earth anyway? Wouldn’t you hurt yourself if the rock was massive enough? It would take incredible precision to hit a particular country.
