FULL TITLE: One student expelled and several more suspended for sharing a NUDE photograph of their charter school director which they snapped in the bathroom of his local gym
A student has been expelled and several more have been suspended after a nude photograph of a school executive was taken without his knowledge in a bathroom.
The spate of punishments were handed out on Monday to students at Clayton Valley Charter High School in Concord, California.
The nude picture was taken of the school's executive director, David Linzey, at an off-campus gym. His back is turned in the picture and it appears as though he did not know it was being taken.
The student who took the photo has been expelled, NBC Bay Area reports.

another one...
I sure hope this wasn’t a boy taking the pic. It’s bad enough regardless.
Sickos. He needs to sue the bastards.
Good.
These kids know that if someone took a photo of them nude without their knowledge, and also passed it around, they would want that person to be charged for the invasion of privacy. The man in the photo should press charges.
I don’t know about the UK, but that is a crime in the US.
Boy took the pic of the man in a private gym locker room, forwarded it to what appear to have been all girls. Sounds to me as if he was put up to it because the girls wanted to see, warped teen crush kind of thing. Doesn’t make it acceptable or OK, they need to be punished. But, not as weird and nasty as some of these things can be.
Children making really bad, immature decisions - unfortunately, technology has given them the power to multiply the consequences of stupid decisions by 1000X.
This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)
The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.
Gyms are very paranoid about this sort of thing. Most of them post signs saying cameras and smartphones are not allowed in the locker room, and if they catch you they will throw you out and cancel your membership.
I don’t understand why the ones that shared the photo got in trouble. It’s not illegal to do. The dirtbag taking the photo should be arrested though.
When you’re undressed in an even remotely public space like a gym locker room, if some perv wants a pic they’re going to get a pic. I’ve dropped gym memberships in the past because homosexuals started hanging around in the locker room. You can’t really control who’s in there I guess, but you can try to control their behavior. I honestly don’t care who looks but if they’re getting sexually aroused it’s very disturbing and I don’t want pictures of my naked self circulating around, somebody I actually know might end up seeing it and think I approved.
What these kids did was wrong and needs to be punished, but the incident points out just how badly kids’ stupid actions can be magnified these days through social media and technology that spreads pictures around quickly. In some ways I’m glad I’m not a teenager these days. I probably would be photographed doing something stupid or illegal, or would have taken an inappropriate photo.

A hetero gym would probably have taken action if you had complained. But if many of their customers are gay, then they’re that kind of gym, and they’re not going to do anything.
Parents must be very naive. If you give a digital camera to a boy between 10 and 14 years old, what kind of pictures do you think they’re going to want to take? They’re all Hugh Hefner Jr as soon as they get the camera.
The membership shifts over time in my experience. You join a nice well kept, well run gym and it goes well for a year or even several, then the equipment starts to slip a little, they’re not as particular about who they allow to join and then the homosexuals hanging out in the locker room follows. Then, they go out of business.
My gym has several private bathrooms that only one person at at time may enter. Each one has a sink, toilet and shower.
Is no “locker rooms”. There are cubby holes out side against the wall to put backpacks/carkeys and a place to hang your coat. No one will steal anything because outside there are cameras all up in that place. Your pic is taken when you enter/exit the place. Even stuff they have for sale is left out after hours and if it’s stolen they know.
been a member there for several years...has worked out great.
