I just can't imagine or understand what's happened to me so quickly!
Funny . . . it's all just taken place over the last 7 or 8 years! As if all this crap wasn't enough to deal with.
I'm now afraid to go into either restroom
I’m in the same boat you are.
I just realized yesterday the reason this has happened to us is we didn’t get social justice training when we were in preschool...Oh wait, there wasn’t any preschools back then.
You’re a stranger in a strange land.
You’re the reason for the Trump revolution. Redneck revolution, in fact.

As a man well into his 70’s I can relate......
Social justice OUGHT to have been the 1st and 2nd commandments. Love God, and carry that into loving your neighbor as you would wish to be loved.
We didn’t have full bible fealty for a long time, however. The religiosity of schools was nominal.
Since you now all the above relish the fact that you can now say anything and you will be dismissed as a white, homophobic, heterosexual Christian God fearing, racist old codger.
Stand proud in the face of the snowflakes knowing in your heart that your are in God’s eternal light, or least you are making their day worse than when they woke up.
As to the restroom problem, I have walked into the wrong restroom on occasion, just put it down to bad or dirty progressive lenses, or that I am distracted in my advanced age....... Still tad bit embarrassing - but I am entering codger territory
So often, Christian decayed to Christianesque.
God wants better.
At 73, I’m there.
When was getting old “fun”?
Inquiring minds want to know.
.
Change proud to humble, if faith is genuine (if not, then proud applies, but then you just advocated an abomination)
It can be full of joy, if it is the season of finally understanding God.
I wish I could squeeze all that on the front of a t-shirt.
Course...it would probably get me beat up at the church Lent Potluck Dinner.
Getting old never was any fun.
Old age ain’t for sissies, you know.
But consider the alternative, which would be dying young.
Being young wasn’t for sissies, either, if I remember the passage. Took an awful lot a charm and outright brass to make it through those years.
I have learned those skills pretty well, and they still work today. Coping works, every time it is tried.
Ditto!

An old saying about all the years gone past: “It seems like it all happened only yesterday”. Well, it does to me anyway.
Sounds like you have realized that you belong to a disappearing group of people...
REAL, true Americans......
It could be worse. You could be a Democrat Party member.
No, that makes you a racist and a bigot.
I believe in the defense and protection of the homeland for and by all citizens, which now makes me a militant.
No, that makes you a "White Nationalist".
Thank you all for your comments. I am not the author, sorry;) but I am a Cranky Old Woman (cow;) and can relate.
Sobering thought; When checking the FR memorial wall, I was shocked at the young ages many of our beloved FReeper friends left us.
So give thanks for the blessing of a long and challenging future together.
God bless
I’ve enjoyed the wife and my life together and enjoyed getting older together.
We’ve slowed down after over 50 years together but life is still good and we’re thankful for that.
