I saw Hacksaw Ridge this weekend on pay for view. It is a really good movie; but, it is a Mel Gibson movie -- which, for me at least, means very violent and graphically so. Now, this is a WWII movie and one of the most bloody battles that took place. The heroism of Desmond Doss is just remarkable.

So, if you can take the graphic violence, then the movie is well worth you time.

*************
It’s in RedBox right now and is easily worth $1.50 .. watched it last night ... it is necessarily gory but doesn’t skimp on the backstory.. good film but not quite oscar material.

No, but it sounds like a conflicted Mel Gibson movie who can’t figure out if war is bad or good.
