Boehner: Republicans won't repeal and replace Obamacare
Politico ^ | 2/23/2017 | DARIUS TAHIR

Former House Speaker John Boehner predicted on Thursday that a full repeal and replace of Obamacare is “not going to happen.”

Boehner, who resigned in 2015 amid unrest among conservatives, said at an Orlando health care conference that the idea that a repeal-and-replace plan would blitz through Congress is just “happy talk.”

Instead, he said changes to former President Barack Obama’s signature legislative achievement would likely be relatively modest.

“[Congressional Republicans are] going to fix Obamacare – I shouldn’t call it repeal-and-replace, because it’s not going to happen,” he said.

Boehner’s comments come as Republican lawmakers across the country are facing angry constituents at town halls worried that Obamacare will be yanked away without a suitable replacement.

1-They have to fix the Law as all insurance companies leave the market place by 2018.

2-If the fix it, just call it Repeal & Replace and take that dopes name off of it

3-That fixes the problem and gives everybody political cover for 2018 mid terms, as it would suck for Dems to make gains right when we will get a bunch of shots a Supreme Court Judges from now thru 2024.

4-Supreme Court is how we stop the Left advance.

Simple solution: drain the swamp then throw out the dissenting Republicans next. After that throwing out Obamacare will be no problem.

This is what Boehner said during the 2014 election campaign: “[Electing Republicans to Congress] means renewing our commitment to repeal ObamaCare, which is hurting the job market along with Americans’ health care.”

Boehner brought dozens of bills to the House floor to repeal Obamacare. He called it a job-killer. He said it was going to make healthcare unaffordable. He repeatedly advocated repealing it for all these and other reasons. Now he laughs about efforts to repeal it and says it will never happen. This guy is lying scum.

Failure to repeal ObamaCare will result in a loss of approx 30-70 seats by the GOP in the US House in the 2018 midterm elections. It’ll destroy their base’s turnout.

The only way they could get away with not repealing ObamaCare would be if they were to get rid of the mandates and make the costs be privatized or voluntarily assumable by State governments or NGO’s who want to save it.

For example, George Soros could breath a few weeks life into ObamaCare by paying for all the high risk pools himself. It won’t leave him any money left for politics but he would at least get to leave behind of legacy of being known as one who cared instead of being a powermonger. Same goes for the ACLU and other organizations.

More fake news to tie in with the left’s fake meme of town hall astro-turfing.

Getting rid of the mandates & hardships that the law imposes is all that we really need. After doing that the ObamaCare will implode all on its own as the carriers exit the markets for 2018 and for sure by 2019. And what would replace it: the free market.

Now yes there are some charity matters to consider regarding the high risk pools of people. On that the following approach is needed:
1. Start enforcing the laws against health care providers that violate racketeering, monopoly, price-fixing, and other fraudulent activities.
2. Come up with a solution that mixes charity & responsibility.

If they are not going to repeal it in it’s entirety then it’s better that they do nothing and let Obamacare collapse on it’s own weight.

If they are going to “fix” it, then we will be stuck with this Obamanation forever.

I say burn it to the ground, now!

1-They have to fix the Law as all insurance companies leave the market place by 2018.

The insurance companies are leaving the market place because they aren't making any money. They aren't making any money because the only ones buying insurance under Obamacare are the elderly and those who really need healthcare insurance, not the healthy ones. How does the government fix that?

When they actually repeal Obamacare then I'll believe this is fake news.

So far, right now, today, he’s right.

The GOPE sent 6 repeals bills to Obama knowing they were of no consequence whatsoever.

And they’ve sent nothing to Trump knowing that he means what he says and will sign them.

Let the stinking GOPE prove that they are not liars and pretenders.

I don’t think they will prove that, because liars and pretenders is precisely what they are, and Boner knows, because he’s a liar and a pretender too.

Ryan is a lying POS and has no intention to repeal and/or replace the ACA.

Why would they fund it every year then allow Obama to postpone the worst of it until he left office. Even though there was clear legislation with manditory requirements, they allowed Obama to postpone implementation of the bill and escape blame for most of the downside to his signature legislation.

I said before Roberts even ruled that the legislation would pass and it would not be undone.

Trump has to make it clear he will go to war with the Republicans in the congress and primary every damned one of them.

If they can’t see fit to repeal this odious pile of whale crap they are beyond redemption and must go.

Anybody still wondering why there's been no "conservatism" in America in 50 years?
