I know Welsh. That boy is not Welsh.
"Why does he need a visa? I am British born and travelled to Florida without one (ESTA, visa waiver). To my knowledge the only British people who need a visa are those who have been arrested and/or convicted of crimes."
The next comment:
"Interestingly the BBC story states that his name is Mohammed Miah but that he also goes by Juhel. This much you can count on, if the name on your visa waiver doesn't match your passport; you are not boarding the flight until it is sorted out. As a one time world traveler, I know there is a learning curve to travel bookings and errors that result in interruptions & delays are usually of one's own making. I would be surprised if he doesn't, in fact know why he was deplaned and is perhaps nonplussed that the reason resulted in such an action but things are different after 9-11."
“This incident happened after the travel ban was stopped by court order”
Huh? The court only struck down one section of the EO that has nothing to do with this case. This guy is not from any of the 7 countries.
Trump gave border agents the authority to block anybody at their discretion. They are doing doing extreme vetting, etc.
Now we know that Iceland has some really shitty hotels.
I don’t see him on the no fly list.
What does he teach? A bomb making class?
Go with the feeling Izzy lol...
Being a maths teacher was enough for proponents of common core to keep him off the plane, that and yw professor thinking proper English is racist, so, no flight do you!
Go to google.uk...copy and paste this and hit search...
Mohammed Hussain Syeedy AND Juhel Miah AND Mohammed Abdul Kadir,
I’m digging thru my closet in search of a violin. I hope he has gone to his safe space, and has plenty of crayons, coloring books, and puppies.
I hold a passport from a country whose citizens do not need a visa to enter the US and can spend as long as 6 months in the US legally without a visa. That said, I know that I am subject to being turned away at the border for any reason because I am not a US citizen and I do not have an absolute right to enter the US.
What part of this don't people understand?
Yep, no fly list, they likely were trying to confirm his identity and when confirmed who he was he was ejected.
Cry me a river.
What are US officials doing at Reykjavik airport? Does every airport in the world have US officials? What's the basis for authority in a foreign country?
