LA has more sitting in traffic on it’s fwys than the entire population of D.C. I gave you links supporting the statement (I know how far-fetched it seems).
FWIW, the last time I was in LA (2012), I was actually surprised by how mellow and easy the traffic was...even on the infamous 110.

Like I said, tiny D.C. has like 650k TOTAL population. LA fwys probably have more than that on their fwys at 2:00 a.m.
No doubt D.C. traffic is crappy, but comparing it to the epic expanse of traffic on LA fwys is an unbalanced comparison.
