at 550 lbs...SOMEONE was feeding her!!!

Indeed. I was watching a show on TV a few nights ago about a 601 pound woman. The show focused on helping the woman get out of her situation. A doctor said there is always an enabler, who gives the food. In this case, it was a niece who said if she didn't help her aunt out with the wanted food, the aunt would just find someone else who would give her the junk food. They changed her diet to reduce some weight, did surgery to reduce her stomach size, and she lost several hundred pounds enabling her to go outside on her own for the first time in years. Real sad that people do this to themselves, becoming extremely obese. Mainly psychological problems.

Well they don’t intentionally do it on purpose. You will find a history of sexual & physical abuse behind a morbidly obese person. Food began as a comfort to emotional pain but in time it becomes simply an addiction.

Well, my tale is also one that gets covered in one of those voyeuristic shows.

My uncle's wife was a hoarder. The lived on their own property, and didn't have visitors. Didn't want them, they made it clear.

When the truth finally came out, we discovered that they actually had to live in a garden shed because the house was filled to the ceiling with junk.

It was shocking. My uncle said he couldn't get her to stop hoarding, and he was too embarrassed to tell anyone or let anyone see it.

What a sad old couple.
