She handed out “nanoseconds” in the form of a length of wire that electricity would travel in that time. A piece of wire about 11.8" long ????? Most of my wire is in a box in the garage. ;-)

Yep.
She had a bunch of wires cut that length. Different colors, like from a 24-pair cable.
