Looks like they are going to have 3 days to shore up the dam which is good, problem comes with how wet the earth is during these less than ideal repairs. Other problems depend on leaks and how much water can be released from the dam before the next set of water hits the lake.

The reporting on the reality of the danger regarding this dam is horrendous. While they are hopeful, it will be months before they are sure they are out of danger. People below the dam need to be given a realistic picture of what repairing this dam means to them in terms of all the dangers that there could be in structural damage and how they could manifest.

Yes the reporting has been less than forthcoming.
Any weak spot will be maximized by the water in that dam and they just don’t know the true status.
I’ve warned my kids in the Sac. area to be ready to head for our home in the hills just as they packed bug out bags during fire season up here when they were younger.
