Al Jarreau, a Grammy-winning jazz singer known as the acrobat of scat, has died, the Washington Post reported Sunday. He was 76.

I would fly back to Colorado to see him at Red Rocks Amphitheater in Golden every summer in the 80’s. Met him once at the Grammy’s ... he was amazing and one of my favorite artists! RIP

I'm a big fan of Mr. Jarreau. I saw him in concert so many times during the 80’s and early 90’s I've lost count.He was nice enough to speak with a gushing fan, that being me, after a concert. He appreciated his fans, no stuck up nonsense.
A great talent and a gentleman.
