I wouldnt put too much faith in the hogs killing the snake out of revenge, I’ll be 100 against a dollar that they ate the snake. Snakes are a delicacy to pigs.Hell, they probably would have eaten the bay pig if they could have caught it.
Me thinks a little too much projection. Pigs don’t need any motivation beyond hunger to do this.

Instead of killing feral cats, neuter them, feed them python meat for two weeks and then release them in the Everglades with tracking devices. Cats are ferocious and wily hunters. Soon there would be a check on the python population. They would find and decimate python nests and even win a few battles with adult pythons.
