But, it is not what he said, but the fact he said it. He should have deferred, whether he agreed or disagreed with Trump. He should of said, “I am not about to give the Legislative Branch a critique of the Executive Branch.”

I don’t read too much into his alleged statement. That is, if he did say so in those words. Blumenthal is not a fount of purity. Trump is not one to have a filter on what he tweets or says. Does it rub some the wrong way? Yup. I suspect Gorsuch would stick up for the general sensibilities of his profession. So far, the majority of Trump’s picks have been acceptable. There has been no huge backlash from real conservatives in the Trump orbit over Gorsuch. If the judge had any deficiencies I am sure folks would have heard of them, and not from a POS like Blumenthal only.

If Gorsuch even said what is claimed, I think it actually improves his chances of confirmation. It demonstrates he is his own man and not a Trump yes man. Trump has said this is what he is looking for in a Judge and what we should be looking for in a Judge. We want Judges to rule on the law, not for who they vote for.
