On a night where many members of the Dallas Cowboys organization are sure to shine, a former member of the team was again denied his chance. Wide receiver Terrell Owens did not receive enough support to earn him a spot in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
A candidate must receive 80 percent positive votes from the selectors on hand, which apparently Owens did not...

He was a whiner as a 49er. Somebody remembers more than stats.

Total head case from beginning to end.
As unlikable as he might have been to the public and the press, TO belongs in the Hall of Fame without question. He should have been inducted last year, and two years makes this a serious issue of credibility for the HoF.
He belongs in the Hall of Fame.
He passes my test, which is that I remember him.
Can’t say as much for a fair number of “Hall of Famers”.
He was a jerk with the 49ers.
Allstar?
NOT.
I’ve actually defended MA’s induction, even though he’s a kicker, but putting him in before a top 5 wideout is absurd.
His antics as a 49er will continue to keep him out
He must have come out supporting Trump.
He passes my test, which is that I remember him.
Cant say as much for a fair number of Hall of Famers.
Agreed. It is the Hall of ‘Fame’, not necessarily the Hall of Accomplishments...
I hope you are in charge of nothing.
1,078 receptions
15,934 yards
14.8 YPC
153 TDS
Good sports trivia question
Any hall of fame that has a required minimum number they must induct yearly is already off to a bad start.
Freegards
It reflects more on the process than him. Without question, he is one of the greatest receivers of all time. . His 15,934 career receiving yards rank second in NFL history, and his 153 receiving touchdowns are third, which is 23 more TDs than fourth place Chris Carter and just three less than Randy Moss' career total. He is six-time Pro Bowl selection.
On December 19, 2004, Owens sustained a severely sprained ankle and a fractured fibula when Dallas Cowboys safety Roy Williams took him down with a horse-collar tackle; Owens' injury was one of the major reasons that the horse-collar tackle was later prohibited. With the Eagles heading to Super Bowl XXXIX, Owens shocked the media by announcing he would play no matter what, even though team doctors stated that his injury would take several more weeks to heal. Owens' trainer, James "Buddy" Primm, helped bring Owens back much sooner with the use of Microcurrent and a hyperbaric chamber. Skeptics were silenced when Owens started the game and played well; the result was nine receptions and 122 yards, though the Eagles still lost to the New England Patriots. After the game, Owens criticized the media by saying that a player like Brett Favre would have been praised for such bravery.
“Currently the only player in NFL history to score a TD against all 32 NFL teams. “
Did he score against the Houston Oilers or Tennessee Oilers?
He is also the only player in history to score two or more touchdowns against all 32 NFL teams.
BTTT.
Never a fan of T.O. but he should have been a first ballot inductee.
Not saying Chris Carter doesn’t belong in the HOF. But Owens had a better career than Caeter by far.
Carter and his co hosts on ESPN lobbied shamelessly for Carter’s induction.
