Job diversity for the sake of diversity is stupid. Hire the most competent person for the job, without looking at skin color. This will get the best and brightest onto the payroll, and no one will look at anyone and wonder if they were an affirmative action hire.

There is a heavily-wooded natural area a few miles from where I live, with hiking trails. I often see black people hiking on the trails (although probably fewer than their share of the local population). The squirrels and deer don’t scare them away.

When I was in the Marine industry, the only time blacks bought boats is for fishing... and most of them wanted older boats, so they can strip seats, rugs so they can use it for fishing.

In the 16 years I was in the business, I sold more boats to gay couples than to blacks - 5 to gay couples to 2 to blacks, the blacks were small business owners and married with children.
