Might sound harsh, but I am not opposed to a minefield and manned machine gun towers along the wall. We are being invaded by illegals who are intent on destroying our country.

I can see using these measures at our country’s borders, yes, but not within a private neighborhood.
Although, it (minefields and gun towers) probably does occur in areas of very wealthy estates belonging to the rich and famous.

There are several suburbs in my area (Marin County, Ca,) that I would feel nervous driving into unless I had someone actually waiting for my arrival. The fact that I’m a minority, plus my car is old and noting spectacular makes me conspicuous. Some of these towns do have mounted cameras going around the clock at points of entry. That’s just a fact of modern life I accept.

An electric fence is a decent compromise. Enough to shock and stop, not enough to kill. It may also allow for a detection capability if done in sections.
