Chris Long had a decision to make last spring. At 30 years old and several seasons removed from a spate of double-digit sack campaigns, he knew he wanted to leave the Rams, who hadnt reached the playoffs in his eight NFL seasons. There were a handful of attractive options for the four-down defensive end, a former second overall pick who could be had on the cheap. The Lions, Cowboys and Falcons were all interested, but Long left money on the table and took a one-year deal with the Patriots for $2.3 million, with only $1 million guaranteed.

Reality is not your best suit, is it!
.
Saints fan here.
The only reason I ma watching the Superbowl this year is because The Patriots are in it.
Also the only reason I watched their playoff game last weekend.
Brady and the Patriots winning this years Super Bowl would be the ultimate cosmic justice. I hope to see it happen.
Oh, and your bitter is really funny.
Get a clue will you.
Spygate amounted to taping the other team during a game outside of a designated area. It was never against the rules to tape your opponents.
Deflate gate was never proven.
What was never in that narrative was the fact that 3 of the 4 Colts balls were also under inflated but they didn’t have time to measure the rest.
Quite the opposite.
They hate us because they ain’t Us.
The Patriots play 3 dimensional chess while the other morons in the league checkers.

He got a four game suspension because they are smarter than the nfl brass.

“As a (young) Red Sox fan in the 60’s I hated the Yankees.Big deal. “
I still do——it’s genetic,I think.
.
ROFLMAO!! They couldn't even buy the Buffalo Bills.
There’s no doubt, they are the best team in the league, and have been for a long time.
The Patriots agreed to plow the field for the Dolphins if they got into FG range but David Woodley was picked off and the Dolphins lost 3-0. Cry all you want Shula, Your team choked .
.
You have no idea what you’re talking about.
.
You do understand that
1) Belichick and the Patriots wer explicitly exonerated in Deflategate.
2) that it is not merely common for footballs to be outside of specs during outdoor games, but that most outdoor games are played with footballs not in accordance with Wilsons recommendations for the care of their footballs (the source for the rule).
3) That unless the NFL violated their rules and procedures, that the Steelers and Packers home games were played with footballs which were lower pressure than any of those in the 2014 AFCCG. Both sets would have lost over 2.5 PSI from when they were measured in the locker room - which even the Wells report agrees with.
4) That the natural variation in footballs from temperature alone is almost 6 PSI. The league is really only arguing about 0.2 PSI for two of the balls. The Wells report mostly relies on some very bad graphing which disagrees with their own experimental results to give illusion of anything more. There’s not really any room for shenanigans, even if the Ball Boys were so inclined.
Go Pats!
