One student got into Tech with my kids class by suing to DOE for discrimination in administration of the test. His score was way low. I Think he lasted about 2 1/2 semesters and washed out with a D- average (lowest in the school. He really did not belong there and they weren’t dumbing down anything for him to succeed.
Stuyvesant, and SI Tech are rated as high as they are nationally for good reason. SI Tech only takes about 200 of the highest scorers each you from over 10,000 applicants. Hunter I know has a very good rep as well. I’m sure your kid will do very good academically in College if your experience is anything like mine.
My Mom went to a day of classes with little dude when he was in 9th grade. She’s a retired University Prof. Mom told me they were learning at a upper level of college.
