Kale and Squash soup for all!
I’ve finally got 160 acres to play on. I’m set. ;)
It’s a sweet potato and they are ridiculously easy to grow, even if you know nothing about gardening. They do take quite a bit of space and will run rampantly over everything else if you don’t trellis those vines or use them as living mulch between tall crops... unless you choose a bush type. They take about 100 days to grow.
Get the biggest-ass, made in America John Deere tractor, and see how fast that garden can be plowed under!
How big are the gardens at their new home/s? I’m willing to bet they don’t even have one - she’s happy to be done with this b.s. And I like gardens!
I would laugh at it if I were Trump. “You call that a garden? THIS is a garden!” Then I would like to see him plow up about 2 acres of ground and make that chef tend it. Then invite a bunch of blue collar workers in when its ready to harvest and throw a hell of a pot luck dinner for them.
What bothers me is the celebrity treatment for a garden! Are we that far removed from our food that its a big deal when somebody plants a garden? Behold commoners! Adore the crops we grow, only designer footwear must be worn in the garden.
Best way to start is to bring delicious food to pot lucks and small treats as hostess gifts. People will start asking you to show you how to do things or for advice. I’ve formed some great relationships over sharing a stove.
Who is we Kemosabe?
Moochie aint growing them.
Jamie Oliver aint growing hem
When I lived in the UK...he became ‘famous’ there. Very mediocre chef who got by on his looks and hyper mannerism. Then he went ‘global’. For the life of me.....don’t know why.
He appeals to hipsters and pretentious ‘foodies”. But I repeat myself.
That stupid “garden” is in TAINTED SOIL”
Good point. Soil in proximity to old buildings will have a high lead level due to the washout and flaking of old lead paint over the years.
Celebs are always worried about such important issues, aren’t they? /s
Ya, I remember picking the GD beans for weeks on end! Ma used to sell the later pickings for extra cash for our school clothes.
After a couple weeks we got sick of it and would give about every other plant a yank.
Pickles were worse! Never minded taters though. We used to put up a lot of potatoes...enough for a family of 8 for 12 months plus seed.
Pave it in Asphalt for a basketball court.
“A tuber and a tumor”
Just in case there’s a “caption this photo” contest.
Yeah I see tainted gardens around inner city 70 year old buildings all the time.
Hell I still breath asbestos in the garden...
I have the perfect solution: Michelle lives only a few short blocks away. Donald should simply give her a pass to come over and tend it any time she pleases.
Jamie isn't a citizen. He doesn't get to vote - he's not mexican or dead.
A jackhammer needs to be taken to the ‘monument’.
Like EVERYTHING that the Obamas have ever engaged in, it's tainted and should be ripped apart, fumigated, and salted.
