What exactly did Franken do/say that made you unhinged? With vanities comes responsibilities (Most of these hearings are just grandstanding by the opposition, if you get butt-hurt easily you should not be watching).

Those that are nominated are instructed to nod politely, absorb the hyperbole, and say "yes I understand what you are saying" or "I agree what you are saying" then shut-up and after confirmation, exercise their ideology/beliefs.
