I made an appt online for mine in Delray Beach and just waited the 3 months for it. Used passport (don’t have a birth cert). Used deed for proof of addr, and tax papers for proof of SS# (dont’t have ss card). Couldn’t read even 1st line of eye chart but passed anyway.

I just remembered that I had to take the eye test.

I read everything easily and told the guy that I could read the next smaller line if he wanted me to.

A few weeks after I had my cataract surgeries I went in for a follow up and I had 20-15 vision in both eyes. The girl said I might be even better because that was as fine as the machine went.

He used a passport card for number 1;for 2 a recent 1099 form that arrived in the mail recently and 3 was a voter id, and we could have chosen from bank statements that had recently come in the mail, or we still had the Boat Registration which we hadn’t stored yet

When I renewed mine, the hardest thing to locate was my marriage certificate that shows the name change. Since my birth certificate was in my maiden name (of course), I needed to show proof of the name change...amusingly, I’d been getting my driver’s license in my married name for 34 years, but when this stricter verification criteria arrived, I had to prove the marriage.

Interesting observation...one ID that seems to have been left out is a Concealed Carry ID, at least I didn’t see anywhere it was listed as a “proof”
of ID
