Apparently "Sparticus" is in the gladiator movie genre, one which I have never explored. Which also probably explains why I never totally got the gladiator reference in the movie "Airplane" in which the pilot asks the little boy in the cockpit if he liked to watch gladiator movies.
Sorry Sam, you had to be there to truly understand it. Those who were there that tragic day will never be able to forget it or get over its effects on our lives. Some still suffer PTSD. :-)

Except that in reality, to simply rotate his shield would leave his defending arm in a vertical position throughout his fight, which I dare say would be a might tougher and less effective.
The best part is the face palm of the guy in back at the end. Cracks me up.
