I’ve been thinking about that song ever since this Russian fake news story began. Warren Zevon was a genius and died of mesothelioma in 2003. On October 30, 2002, Zevon was featured on the Late Show with David Letterman as the only guest for the entire hour. He had a phobia about doctors and his disease was discovered way too late.
One of the very few glimpses of David Letterman having any redeeming qualities whatsoever.
Mesothelioma is one of those diseases that it doesn’t much matter how early you catch it.
Very aggressive form of cancer.
