Cliche’s aside, I disagree that people in ‘mid america’ are ‘less ambitious’ it’s just that there ambitions are focused elsewhere than that of the ‘elites.’

My thoughts are they think, because they believe us to be less civilized than they are, we revel on the violence.
I personally don’t watch those fights. I think they are too violent. But I don’t think less of people who enjoy them.
It has the word "arts" in it, which allowed Streep to segue into her rant on what true "arts" are, and by extension, that people who appreciate those "arts" are better people, better than Trump, at least.
