The real name if the town is Llanfair Pwllgwyngyll.
The long version is simply a marketing name made up to popularize the city. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Llanfairpwllgwyngyll. I guess it’s been in use for so long now that it could be considered legitimate as a town name though. I wish the article had mentioned the name of the hill in New Zealand.
