No Basil Fawlty? He couldn't even get the sign in front of his hotel to read right. Someone like that shouldn't be on any sort of top list.

I was at a restaurant the other day that served a Maury Amsterdam sandwich. Pastrami, sauerkraut and horseradish. I ordered it just on principle.
I heard once that some scripts read “Maury tells jokes :30”

Homer Simpson and Jethro Bodeen should definitely be in the top 10.

No Tony Soprano? No Thomas Magnum? No Henry Blake? No Norm?
No thanks.

Not an Ed Asner fan but Lou Grant was terrific. Are we talking the Lou Grant of the Mary Tyler Show, or of the lousy spinoff?

Regarding Fawlty Towers (sometimes known as Warty Towels, etc.), I have the entire series on DVD and enjoy it very much.
Sometimes I’ll play an episode when friends come to visit. No one seems to get it but me. But they don’t get Hee Haw either. I guess both shows are acquired tastes.

Where is Jeanie or Samantha?

Elliot Carlin but no Dr. Robert Hartley?
So happy to see Mr. Carlin on the list. He was my favorite character on that show.
Carlton, the doorman, and the main reason I watched Rhoda, would be in my top 50 list, too.

It doesn't have The Doctor. It doesn't have FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper. It doesn't have Number Six. It doesn't have William Adama. It doesn't have Benjamin Linus or John Locke. It doesn't have Bo and Luke Duke. It doesn't have Delenn or G'Kar or Michael Garibaldi...
This list sucks.

They put Adam Sorkin as Adam from Northern Exposure in there...probably one of the best. IS that the barefoot hippie?
Pretty sure that was Adam Arkin.
