I read a book about the Dust Bowl, but it didn’t involve Ken Burns. I’ve read other books on recent environmental issues, including one about the papyrus plant (as an icon of water quality in Africa) and another about bats.
Sorry.
I failed to mention that the Dust Bowl volume where Burns is a co-author is equal part Art Book, with classic B&W photography, and equal parts personal anecdotes directly from the the people who lived, and died through the experience, and their descendants.
