An airport is a classic place to not bring a gun, especially if traveling.

I carry when i pick people up. I dont go into any area that requires a search. The airport is the worst gun free zone attack area to voluntarily be in.

True - I had to get a client’s security clearance back for him after he forgot his revolver was in his backpack until it showed up on the x-ray machine at security. Long process and cost him a bunch of money for his criminal defense attorney and then me.

I know...schools, too. And, I obey the law.

Our airport’s baggage claim area is inside just across the arrivals pickup “street” from the public parking deck. There would be absolutely no problem to cruise on in with a gun. There are many non-passenger folks standing in the baggage claims area welcoming arriving passengers. Just easy to get there without hassle. Same with the ticketing area directly upstairs.

I’ve always felt the baggage and ticketing areas were vulnerable.

Heck...bad guys could do a drive-by and shoot thru the glass...especially at ticketing.
