As Barack Obama continues to reflect on his legacy in a series of exit interviews, the outgoing president says he still considers the day he met with the parents of the victims of the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School in 2012 the toughest day of his presidency.
I still consider the day I traveled up to Newtown to meet with parents and address that community as the toughest day of my presidency, Obama told the History Channel in an interview that will air on Jan. 15, five days before he leaves office. Its the only time I ever saw Secret Service cry at an event. So it was brutal.
Obama himself has often been moved to tears when reflecting on the mass shooting that killed 26 people including 20 children in Newtown, Conn., on Dec. 14, 2012. He teared up delivering a statement the day of the massacre, at an interfaith vigil in Newtown, and even at the White House last January while announcing executive actions designed to curb gun deaths.
Every time I think about those kids, it makes me mad, Obama said Jan. 5, 2016.

If only we had gun control ...
Nobody cares what Obama has to say.
He’s gonna talk about this until the end of time.
He could have just gone over a green screen to get to Newtown.
I would have though the toughest day was when he authorized Holder to ship guns to Mexico knowing the mayhem it would cause so he could restrict the 2nd Amendment rights of US citizens.
Not Benghazi? Oh, yeah. . . I forgot. The Newtown shooting by the liberal kid was a surprise. Benghazi wasn’t.
Ubama had a plan for the media spin for Benghazi, but had to rely on the old tried-and-trued liberal playbook for Newtown.
I bet he is upset.....that he couldn’t use it for gun control.
I’m certainly no fan of Obama . . . but I’d have to say that was probably the worst day of his 8 years in office. While one could come up with a top 10 or 20 or 30 or more list . . . Newtown is worst. It doesn’t compare to GWB’s worst day but then it isn’t a contest of who had the worst day in office.
If I had a son........................
Still carrying Soros’ and Bloomberg’s water, to the last.
“It was the toughest day of my career. I wanted a 10 o’clock tee time but couldn’t get in till almost 11, and my putting was terrible. The eighth hole was a dogleg par 5 and I shanked on the drive so the best I could do was bogey. And don’t get me started on that sand trap on 14. Sheesh! Brought tears to my eyes!”
I suspect that day was tough for Obama because he had what he considered a big political win dropped into his lap for free - lots of dead children that he could use as an excuse to disarm the people - and he had to keep the glee off his face.
What? Newtown paled in comparison to 9/11.
‘Obama himself has often been moved to tears when reflecting on the mass shooting that killed 26 people including 20 children in Newtown, Conn., on Dec. 14, 2012.’
.
Crocodile tears. He could care less about ordinary Americans.
If it had been a bunch of his fellow muzzies, I hate to think of what he would have done.
.
.
Surrounded by Secret Service Agents, I’m sure he was worried...about his next round of golf.
I was hoping he would say the worst day of his presidency was attending the funeral of a murdered cop (there were plenty of opportunities) but I think he chickened out of every one.
Newtown was worst day for Obama.
9/11 was worst day for GWB.
9/11 was far worse but we’re not having a contest of who can have the worst day in office.
Does that clear it up for ya?
