The article also says that Kelly’s contract with Fox doesn’t expire until this summer. So, Fox has the option to take her off the air now and enforce her contract terms, so she couldn’t go on-air with NBC until after the summer. That would be awesome!

Agreed, that would be fantastic.
They could replace her show, simply continue to pay her, and she could go back on with NBC after a very l-o-n-g television hiatus.
