South Korea is not well prepared to face the consequences of possible retaliation from North Korea, in response to US military attacks, South Korean experts suggested.

The policy of South Korean President Moon Jae-in could probably help explain the nation’s lack of preparation for possible warfare on the Korean Peninsula, according to the expert.

“They [the South Korean government] are trying to convince the public nothing is going to happen. Just relax and stay happy. We’re not going to be prepared for anything because that’s not going to take place on the Korean Peninsula. The president said there’s not going to be any more war on the Korean Peninsula. That’s the message the government is trying to convey,” he said.
