That was tiring. Now I need to get a sandwich, but it would be nice to have a beer with it.
But it’s cold outside!
My wife has lots more cousins than I do. SHe thinks it’s funny that she knows all their names and I’m not even sure if my one aunt had children.
Yes. No elephants.
That was mentioned as a contributing factor in attendance decline. And apparently the remaining animal acts are being targeted by the rabbit, er, rabid rights activists. Guess management saw a trend..
I have so many cousins that when I was a really short person, we had to have our “family reunion” in the park. The ENTIRE park, including the swimming pool and the bandstand, from Friday noon to Sunday noon.
I can’t even name anybody’s kids but three of my siblings’.
If you ask me, a circus just isn’t a circus without heffalumps.
Except the management team around here, of course.
In Ancient Rome, the animal acts gave way to human gladiators contesting with each other.
So how about we pit the animal rights activists against the environmentalists?
Now there's a program I'd go see..
Evening, all. This afternoon I took the byos and Kathleen to a Charlotte park we hadn’t been to in a long time. It had more woods than I remembered. Maybe I’d never gone out of the playground area before because I always had a baby! I chose it instead of a nearer park because we passed the bank on the way, so I could deposit the check from Bill the Son for his cell phone bill.
He will have his own phone contract starting tomorrow, and he’ll begin paying a room-and-board fee on February 1. I started by dividing the house payment by 4 bedrooms, then divided the room charge in half because he shares with Tom. Then I added a percentage of water, electric, gas, and internet charges, and then put in an amount for food and services. $275 total. Hopefully it will encourage him to step up his job search!
If he doesn’t pay for laundry and such you’re undercharging.
If he does his own laundry using his own consumables then it’s covered in the percentage for electric, and water. However, if if laundry services are presumed to be on the house, I’d revisit that ‘services’ charge.. ;-)
The Zuckerflake giving you problems?
He does his own laundry using our consumables, so that’s not counted in “services.”
And good morning! I’ve been getting up only to find the internet isn’t active. Our network engineer has instituted a glitch that he hasn’t yet unglitched, probably because he sleeps in.
I don't think that's unreasonable at all. If that's all I had to pay a month for a comfy room and board, I'd be doing the happy dance every month!
Start your search, Bill the Son, and welcome to the world of being a responsible adult!
Good morning!
What a squeeful little face!
Southwest Medical called last night to tell me my prescription for pain pills has been printed and signed, so I need to go pick it up this morning. Once again, I wish the stereo worked in that truck. Music would make the trip seem so much shorter.
And did I say it was raining? That’s going to make the drive delightful, I’m sure. Folks here get so stupid in the rain.
Good luck! It’s not raining here, but it’s in the 30s. Supposed to be warmer later. I’m going to Walmart in a few minutes; hope to get the discount meats as well as a few things we’re out of (or forgot).
It’s James and Kathleen’s co-birthday. My mother, who phoned, said we should assign Kathleen a separate birthday. That reminds me, I need to get her present, “Encyclopedia of Horse Breeds,” down from my closet shelf.
I have to go see Zeke this morning and get an update about Chuck.
Someone spread the rumor that the Chuckster died, and that he willed someone his car! Hahaha! He’s not dead, and the car isn’t his to will to anyone. It belongs to his friend from my hometown, who bought it for Chuck to use, just before his stroke.
Zeke has been on jury duty, and still has five weeks to go, so he’s pretty scarce. There was a manager’s meeting yesterday, and it was all about bashing Zeke, and he wasn’t there to defend himself. I’m glad I didn’t go. Charlie went and gave me the high points. Or low points, as it seems the Zeke bashing took the spotlight.
Before I go, I’m going to go have a breathing treatment. When I get back, I’ll get ready for my drive into Vegas. Ungh...
I looked up Google Earth on the house I grew up in because a coworker and I were discussing living around alligators. The lake near our house had maybe 2 improved properties around it when I was a kid. The rest was orange groves and woods.
Now the entire lake is surrounded by houses.
Fortunately, glitch introduction is free.
Yeah, that’s what Florida is like. The alligators are still there, though.
I’m waiting for Tom the Son to show up and sort out a textbook order, and then I can go to Walmart. The sun has come out, but it’s still cold.
